Dennis Herrera

Dennis is a second-year master’s student in the Higher Education Leadership and Policy program within the College of Education. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Texas A&M University at The Bush School of Government. Dennis currently serves as a graduate assistant for student organizations in the Office of the Dean of Students. Dennis is a scholar and researcher in the areas of education policy and education law.

Avery Simpson

Avery (she/her/hers) is a second-year master’s student in the Higher Education Leadership and Policy program. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Education in Elementary Education from the University of Wisconsin–Madison and holds a K–9 teaching license in Wisconsin. Avery currently serves as a graduate assistant for basic needs in the Office of the Dean of Students, where she advocates for improving students’ access to affordable food and housing resources. Outside of her professional and academic pursuits, Avery enjoys attending concerts, reading, baking, spending time with her two cats, and playing card games with friends.

Chetna Sharma

Chetna is a Ph.D. student in Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences at the Children’s Auditory Research and Education Lab. Prior to joining UT, Chetna earned her B.Sc. (Honours) in Zoology from the University of Delhi. Following that, she pursued her M.Sc. in Cognitive and Brain Science from the Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar. Her research interests focus on understanding how auditory processing interacts with cognitive function across the lifespan. Alongside academia, Chetna enjoys hiking, live music, and traveling.
